Our Services
Safer Clearances
Address branches near roofs, driveways, walkways, vehicles, and other frequently used areas.
Healthier Structure
Selective pruning can support natural form, remove dead or damaged growth, and guide young trees as they develop.
Better Storm Readiness
Routine observation makes it easier to notice broken limbs, weak attachments, or declining growth before severe weather.
Why Planned Tree Maintenance Matters
What is plant health care?
Plant health care is an inspection-first approach to keeping trees and shrubs healthy. Instead of guessing, we look at the whole plant and its surroundings to find what is causing a problem, then recommend a plan that fits what we find.
Signs a tree may need an inspection
Crown: thinning, dieback or sparse growth at the tips
Leaves: early drop, spots, odd color or curling
Bark: cracks, peeling, oozing, or fungus growing on the surface
Trunk: cavities, leaning, or new cracks after a storm
Roots and soil: heaved soil, exposed roots, compacted or waterlogged ground
What an inspection may include
An inspection can include looking at the crown, trunk and root zone, noting site conditions such as drainage, compaction and recent construction, and discussing the history of the tree. Photos help us prepare, but a diagnosis needs to be confirmed on site.
Treatment and follow-up
Depending on the cause, a plan may include pruning, soil and watering changes, protecting the root zone, targeted treatment, or monitoring over time. Some problems can be improved, and some trees cannot be saved. We tell you honestly which is which, and we do not promise a result.
When a specialist is involved
For complex questions such as risk assessment, appraisals or construction impacts, Optimum Tree Service works with Arborist On Demand, a consulting arborist firm led by an ISA Board Certified Master Arborist.
